There are 2 types of diabetes - Type I (requiring daily use of insulin) and Type II. Type II is more common and occurs more commonly with age. Both types require good sugar control. Signs/Symptoms of dry eyes include; gritty sensation, watery eyes or excessive tearing, redness, foreign-body sensation, burning, pain, sensitivity to light, fluctuating vision, and itchiness. If you experience any of these signs or symptoms, you should see an optometrist

Myopia (short-sightedness or near-sightedness) is when objects in the distance appear blurry and are clear close up. There are many reasons for eyes to become short-sighted and it is important to assess and manage the risks. Your optometrist is there to help you to assess your vision
Further vision information processing assessment is indicated if the child's academic performance is not progressing as expected.
